Stone House is a private country retreat for up to four guests set in the Chewton Valley. This one bedroom two lounge room house has a fold out couch in the main lounge, allowing privacy between two couples or individual guests. Feature stone walls and exposed timber loft ceilings set the scene for a quiet getaway. The modern kitchen and bathroom are well equipped, including oven, stove, microwave, and washing machine. There's a BBQ and outdoor furniture on the deck with views across the stunning Chewton valley.

Consider yourself at home in this stone cottage with timber loft ceilings and panoramic views of the Chewton countryside. Quality fittings and furnishings throughout provide a comfortable and relaxed stay close to the townships of both Castlemaine and Chewton, but with tranquil country surroundings.

Enter from the beautiful stone courtyard into the spacious open plan living area bathed in natural light from expansive bay windows and skylights. You will find the lounge fitted with comfortable couches, and warmed by a gas log fireplace. One of these couches folds out into a double bed which comfortably sleeps two adults. The modern kitchen is well appointed with quality stainless steel furnishings and benchtops. The kitchen leads onto a timber deck covered by a grapevine, with a barbeque and outdoor furniture from which to relax and enjoy the stunning views across the Chewton valley.

A second living area provides plenty of additional seating and opens onto both the queen sized bedroom and bathroom/ laundry. The bedroom is large and light, with a skylight and windows out to the private garden. The bathroom is modern and clean, with a spacious shower as well as the convenience of a washing machine for guest use.

Expansive gardens surround the property and lead to a short walking track down to Forest Creek. The gardens are enjoyable at all times of year, providing shelter during the summer months, and lush green environs during winter. The vistas across neighbouring hills and valleys can be enjoyed from the kitchen window and deck.

The property offers free off street parking within the private grounds. Minimum two night stay.

Please note the property does not accept payments with American Express credit cards. There is a 1.8% charge when you pay with a MasterCard or Visa credit card.

Please note that the property does not have a reception. A confirmation email will be sent from Castlemaine Property Group.
Keys are to be collected from the Castlemaine Property Group office located at 56 Mostyn Street, Castlemaine during office hours or from the key safe on the property if arranged prior.

Office hours are:
Monday to Friday - 08:30 to 17:00
Saturday - 08:30 to 14:30

Please inform our office of your expected arrival time. If you expect to arrive outside these hours, please inform Castlemaine Property Group in advance.
If you have made a last minute booking please contact us directly, contact details provided in your confirmation.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire house and surrounding yard during their stay.
